Support for cab printing systems using SOAP

  • Publicado el 04 de Noviembre de 2026

A web service is a standardized way for two programs to talk to each other over a network — independent of the platform, programming language, or location on either side. Instead of a person operating a user interface, one application sends a request and another returns a response, both in a well-defined, machine-readable format.

Support for cab printing systems using SOAP

This service uses SOAP, the Simple Object Access Protocol. SOAP exchanges messages as XML documents and transports them over ordinary HTTP(S), so it works through standard network infrastructure. The available operations, their parameters, and their return values are described in a WSDL file – a machine-readable contract that development tools read to generate ready-to-use client code automatically.

For the user this means: Independent of operating system, programming language, and location. Built on open, established standards, supported by all major platform such as Microsoft, SAP, Oracle. No printer driver or dedicated software required – labels can be printed straight from an ERP system. Unicode support for multilingual content.

With cab equipment operated in a network, label data can be identified, assigned, linked and recorded specifically to productive processes or consumer applications, and critical conditions, performance and print cycles can be continuously analyzed. Accelerated communication processes, higher productivity and quality and less costs for end consumers are benefits in manufacture and the logistics of a business. All the current cab printing systems are based on the same electronics and firmware. The printer language is the same, so are interfaces and memory. Any further developed operating system or driver is available immediately on every device.
