Kodak announced upgrades to the KODAK Proofing Software, making it easier for printers to spend less time planning and more time printing consistent color results. New with the upgrade, KODAK Proofing Software allows you to proof spot colors with stunning accuracy with new support for violet ink proofers from the EPSON SC-P7000 and SC-P9000 family. The new upgrade also meets print buyer expectations by achieving standard targets based on ISO 12647, GRACoL, and SWOP with Certified Proofing for Color Confirmation.

ScanMould uses rotary die-cutting for inmould labels

New Tamper Evident Labeller from LSS at Pharmapack
At Pharmapack, LSS Labelling Systems Scandinavia will launch a new Tamper Evident labelling machine for the pharmaceutical industry at the Novexx Solutions booth (Paris, 2018, February, 7 – 8, Hall 7.1, D60). The new Tamper Evident Labeller from Danish labelling expert LSS is in compliance with the European Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) 2011/62/EU. Part of this directive is the requirement for tamper proof security of cartons. The Tamper Evident labeller from LSS seals the carton. As an option, a printer and vision system of any brand can be integrated to provide each carton with a unique identification for track & trace and serialisation.

Baumer hhs celebrated a proud anniversary in 2017: Kroha GmbH at its plant in Barleben, near Magdeburg, Germany, launched the operation of the world’s 5,000th ULT-300 cold glue sensor from Baumer hhs, the Krefeld-based manufacturer of industrial gluing and quality assurance systems. Kroha uses the sensor in an FF 52i folding carton gluing machine from KAMA, which was retrofitted with a top gluing nozzle to enhance the machine’s flexibility.

Since its foundation in 1989, Tupahue Tintas offers innovative ink solutions especially designed for serving the needs of packaging converters in the local market.

Italian label printer invests in Fujifilm Flenex plates
Based across four locations in and around Milan, La Prensa is a major label manufacturer expecting to produce more than 18 billion labels in 2017 and targeting turnover of €25 million.
