Ukrainian paper bag manufacturer installs its second W&H paper bag line
Ukrainian manufacturer Pamibro has been making paper bags for the construction, chemical and food industries at its factory in the western city of Broshniv for more than 20 years. Today, the company is the country’s largest paper bag manufacturer. Pamibro first invested in a W&H paper bag line in 2007 – a decision that brought great success along with it. So it’s perhaps no surprise that the manufacturer recently installed a second W&H system, comprising an AM 8125 tuber, an AD 8320 bottomer, two TRANSYSTEMS automated material flow systems and an ARCOMAT 3 palletizer.

Flint Group announces new name for partner company Eston Chimica
Eston Chimica, a leading supplier of inks and coatings to package printers in Italy and Southern Europe, announces a change in its company name and logo. Effective February 1, 2018, the new company name is Eston Chimica, a Flint Group Company. In December 2017, Flint Group, a prominent global supplier of inks and coatings to the printing and packaging industry, announced the acquisition of Eston Chimica which manufactures and sells water-based inks for flexo and gravure applications. The company supports key Paper & Board applications, such as corrugated, shopping bags, paper bags, and various other water-based print jobs.

Sun Chemical to Increase Prices of Offset Inks
Sun Chemical will increase prices on all offset inks and coatings for its customers across all regions, effective 1 March 2018. The percentage increase will be in the high single digits and will vary dependent on the product composition and product line. Sun Chemical will communicate specific increases directly with customers.

EFI reports record revenue for fourth quarter and full year 2017
Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI) a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, announced its results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter ended December 31, 2017, the Company reported record fourth quarter revenue of $269.2 million, up 1% compared to fourth quarter 2016 revenue of $266.7 million. GAAP net loss was $25.4 million compared to GAAP net income of $19.9 million for the same period in 2016 or $(0.55) per diluted share compared to $0.42 per diluted share for the same period in 2016. Non-GAAP net income was $24.0 million, down 33% compared to non-GAAP net income of $35.7 million for the same period in 2016 or $0.52 per diluted share, down 31% compared to $0.75 per diluted share for the same period in 2016. Cash flow from operating activities was $8.9 million, down 86% compared to $65.2 million during the same period in 2016.
