Strong start for bookings, new dates for IFRA DCX Expo 2017

  • Publicado el 28 de Diciembre de 2016

Successful revamp boosts participation in IFRA and DCX. Several industry heavyweights, including KBA, Ferag, ABB, and alfa Media, will be back. To spare weekend travel, the exhibition date has been rescheduled by one day. New dates are from Tuesday, 10 October 2017, through Thursday, 12 October 2017, at Messe Berlin.

Early indications for the 47th edition of the global gathering of the news publishing industry are extremely positive. Today, 10 months before the event, the exhibition floor plan boasts a strong showing of renowned exhibitors. “We are well on track to offer publishers and news media a compelling platform for action, training and networking,” says project manager Alena Kluge. "Pooling WAN-IFRA’s industry knowledge with Publishing Exhibition’s trade fair know-how has brought about the much needed revitalisation of IFRA and DCX.”

The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers and the fair organiser have found great support in their efforts to modernise the traditional publishing fair. Publishing Exhibition CEO Alexander R. Petsch explains: “We have conducted a number of workshops with exhibitors to come up with changes that make sense. Passing on the fire instead of preserving the ashes – that is our vision for a successful continuation of the World Publishing Exhibition.”

The WAN-IFRA conferences “Print World” and “Digital Media World” will continue to offer a first-class exchange for key industry topics. “Deep Dives,” highly specialised presentations with a small number of participants, and “Guided Tours” that allow visitors to meet with selected exhibitors to dig into specific topics of interest, have also proven their value. These will be complemented by two new “Content Stages,” one at IFRA and one at DCX, that provide a platform for practice-oriented presentations.

New dates: Tuesday, 10 October 2017, through Thursday, 12 October 2017. In order to make the journey to the exhibition a more pleasant experience, the fair has been rescheduled to take place from Tuesday, 10 October 2017, through Thursday, 12 October 2017. This will allow visitors to enjoy an undisturbed weekend before traveling to, and diving into, the expo on the following weekdays.
